Let's Just Keep Celebrating!

It's been a long four years and the nightmare is finally over! The 2016 election was such a tragedy in so many ways, and I was really happy when Biden chose Kamala Harris for Vice President. She would've made a great president too, and still might, one day! Now, if only that incompetent moron would stop creating division and admit he lost, there might be a chance of ending the pandemic a lot faster!

His Madness decided a batch of chocolate chip cookies was in order, after all  it was in the morning when the news broke! We were fresh out of fireworks and didn't have any church bells to ring.

While the cookies baked, Ivy and Burt cheerfully retrieved our yard signs in accordance with city ordinances. Naturally, the other party signs are still up. Quite a variety of candidates were supported by our neighbors this year. There was campaigning for Biden and Harris, Dogs, Cthulhu and unfortunately, the current assholes occupying the White House. No wonder we never have block parties,

I can hardly wait, how about you? Also, it's only 345 days until Halloween 2021.

Thanks to all the Nasty Women and Bad Dudes out there who cast their ballots for Biden and Harris! Who would've suspected the insults of a raving lunatic would turn into worldwide movements? By the way, Burt and Ivy definitely did not vote in the election, in case any Republicans want to know.

As luck would have it, Mother Nature has blessed us with a week of unseasonably warm weather and some beautiful sunsets. We made the most of it by spending as much time outside as possible.

One day after lunch, there was a hitchhiker on my napkin ring. It looked like just a random piece of lettuce from my salad until it started to move! Luckily, I recognized it as a Cabbage Butterfly, in its larva form, and relocated it to an appropriate plant to continue its life cycle. I'm thinking its a very good omen!

In reality, it probably came from the brassicas in the bouquet on the table and not from my salad. I don't want to think about having actual butterflies in my stomach!

Who knows what the next couple of months will bring but they will probably be pretty rough. At least we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that politically, things will eventually change for the better. It's time to hunker down, stay safe from the virus and get back to being our silly selves!

After a few adult beverages, of course.

Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
