Ivy's Busy Morning

Since Burt is still recuperating, it was up to Ivy to do the shopping for Halloween treats.

There's nothing like waking up with the birds!

Kibitz has been very worried there might not be enough candy for Halloween. This morning he finally convinced Ivy to get up early and go shopping for treats before they were all sold out. 

Spenser agreed with Kibitz but unlike Ivy, he went back to sleep. 

Burt, as usual, slept like the dead.

Just before Ivy was going to leave, she thought she would be nice to Burt and bring him some coffee. He will really wake up when he gets to the bottom of that cup, ha!

Then she was off to stock up on treats. Kibitz insisted that she get them as soon as possible.

 It looks like Spenser has noticed that Ivy has forgotten something.

At the Target in my town there were a lot of empty shelves this year. It was hard to tell what was going on since it looked like they were leaving room for more stock. So there were hardly any decorations and no lights at all! At least they had plenty of candy and costumes.

Fortunately, Ivy was only after candy and snacks and came back soon with quite a haul! There was certainly nothing to waste time browsing through, ha! 

As for Burt, after she had a quick look at his skull she declared him fit for putting away the treats.

Which he was more than willing to do. Maybe not in the way she meant though. 

Now we have to figure out where we are going to store all this stuff!

Worse yet, what are we going to do with it if they cancel Halloween?

Kibitz, who instigated this project, finally found what he wanted at the bottom of the last bag. Was this all about him being out of M&Ms? At least tomorrow, Ivy won't have to get up with the birds.
