Yikes! Halloween is only three weeks away!
Today, His Madness decided it was time for some cookies.
Actually, I think he just likes an excuse to wave around the rolling pin!
It wasn't long before he attracted an audience. Ivy and Burt are really good at watching people work.
He decided to make sugar cookies after an extensive search of the pantry yielded cookie cutters in the shape of owls, ghosts, witches and crescent moons. No one can remember where they came from but that doesn't matter.
Ivy helped with the decorating.
They had to resort to colored sugar and sprinkles for decoration because we didn't have any powdered sugar to make the frosting. It's not as pretty but it goes a lot quicker!
Burt showed up for the moment of truth.
Everyone thought they were delicious (even without the frosting) and agreed it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon during a pandemic.
Also, those new oversized mugs finally found a good home in the pantry! Hopefully, they will hang there decoratively until it's time to decorate for Christmas.
