Wow, we're in single digits!
It's been a very dark and stormy day. There's been thunder and lightning and a hard rain has been hammering on the windows. It could be the soundtrack to a movie. Seriously, this photo was taken at 1:30 this afternoon! If I wasn't worried about all of this rain seeping into the basement or turning into snow, it would be fun!
Amidst all this atmospheric chaos, His Madness has decided to do some binge baking. This morning it was Herb and Onion Bread and this afternoon he made an Apple Pie. Burt and Kibitz volunteered to go to the store and brought home some beautiful apples.
It looks like they didn't want to stay in the bag though.
Eventually, the apples were brought under control and they decided to wait patiently to be peeled and cut up for the pie filling.
It seems like pumpkin would've been the obvious choice but maybe he's saving that for Thanksgiving.
Apparently, pie dough is harder to roll out than cookie dough.
Can't forget the decorations! Is that supposed to be an apple or a pumpkin?
Finally, all those great apples turned into a wonderful pie and it looks delicious!
So glad he didn't use the one left by the wicked witch!
