Potatoes and a Peanut

Ivy and Burt are taking advantage of the nice weather to plant some pansies.

The summer plants on the front porch were looking very tired and definitely needed to be replaced.

It's just a few plants in a couple of pots, it shouldn't take too long.

It's a team effort. Burt cuts off the roots.

While Ivy does all the rest.

The current geraniums, petunias and sweet potato vine are being replaced with hardy pansies. It will probably freeze here soon and they will survive the cold. I hope.

Ivy was just wondering if the sweet potato vines might have produced any spuds and voila!

How do you suppose this peanut got in with the roots of the yellow pansies?
Burt should stop singing the "Found a Peanut" song!

The skeleton crew seem pretty proud of what they accomplished and the new pots are ready to go back on the front porch. Hopefully the violet pansies won't clash too much with the orange pumpkins.

All together, Ivy found three small potatoes. They actually are edible but we were not planning on giving them a try. That was a good thing because shortly after Burt left we noticed that they had mysteriously disappeared. He probably ate the peanut, too!

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
