We're enjoying the last of the summer weather before autumn returns.
Finally, we have a front porch and steps!
It's not such a long drop from the front door anymore.
Fluff is still skeptical about them finishing anytime soon.
Thanks to the toasty temperatures these old roses have bloomed again this year.
The spider population is lingering too. It's been a very long summer.
All year round, His Madness makes pinhole cameras and takes photos with them. He's always happy to have an excuse to put together another one. For the last couple of years he's made me cameras from Halloween snack boxes and I've taken some really awful photos with them. This year, it's Count Chocula and I'm hoping The Count will help me take better pictures.
This is his regular workspace for camera building. When the painters covered up all the windows with brown paper, none of us could get out of the house fast enough. Fortunately, the weather was nice enough so the camera building could be moved to the patio.
Looks like he's either really happy to be outside or getting a little woozy from the white glue.
This is about a hundred time magnification of the .23 mm hole made by HM - with a sewing needle - in a thin piece of brass. It forms an image on the film. He takes these photos to see if the hole has smooth edges, rough ones that can distort the photograph. My pinhole pictures need all the help they can get.
Do you see a ghostly image in the center? Like a skull wearing a stocking cap?
Ivy and Burt checked out the finished camera and were impressed. They're already planning what costumes they want to wear for the first photo shoot.
Burt also has plans for all the left over mini treats.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you tomorrow!
