October is speeding right along.
The Crew was leisurely enjoying their morning coffee when the pounding and the sawing began.
It rattled the whole house and naturally, Burt liked it.
However, they decided to stay and actually get something done. The situation is bad enough, they don't need to get any further behind. Spenser was impressed.
So they got straight to work, at six o'clock in the evening. Better late than never. Ivy decided to start by moving the banner from the dining room to the mantle.
Which turned out to be a good decision. She changed a few other things, too. It's a process.
Then she moved on the the curio cabinet. It's also known as the place to put those things than no one quite knows what to do with. They are an expressive lot though.
Even after adding some battery operated candles, the middle and lower shelves seem pretty dark. Wonder if anyone might be interested in adding some extra lighting?
A few twinkle lights would definitely help.
The final addition for this round of decorating was an ouija board table cloth. It's a lot spookier than the blue one. Hope Burt doesn't accidentally conjure up any mischievous spirits with his coffee cup in the morning.
I'm going to have to pause the daily posts and try to catch up on things. In the past, I've handled several big home renovations all by myself and thought this one would be really simple. Ha! I had no clue fixing the front porch and a few gables would turn out to be this complicated and the timeing couldn't have been worse. In any case, The Skeleton Crew should be back in action next week.
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!
