Why does October always go by so fast?

It's time for another Sunday brunch except this week it's waffles instead of Huevos Rancheros.  

Last year Ivy picked up a new waffle maker at Target. It was incredibly cheap so she didn't expect it to last too long, not to mention work that well! Surprisingly, it's still functioning and the only downside is that she can only make one at a time. With that in mind, she's considering buying another one in the spider web pattern.

Burt can't imagine why she would possible want anything else.

 

Waffles definitely need some sort of embellishment and whipped cream would be my first choice. However, today it was apple slices poached in maple syrup and vanilla bean. 

The Skeleton Crew has discovered that by mixing decaf with regular coffee they can drink more of it with less consequences. Maybe that's the whole point of brunch.

After only a couple of hours, the waffles were finished.

HM is very grateful for everything but silently wondering . . . where's the bacon?
