Walgreens

Did you know that October is National Popcorn Poppin' Month?
Wonder what happened to the g?

His Madness and I were at our local Walgreens this morning for the new and improved Covid/Flu shots. Hope this one works better than the previous one, although we might have been a lot worse off, when we caught Covid last summer, if we hadn't had the booster. Anyway, being there reminded me that we haven't watched the original version of Hocus Pocus yet this season and we should have a movie night!

After finding the popcorn we had to check out the spooky stuff. Honestly, you'd think there would be all sorts of Sanderson sisters merch at Walgreens this year but sadly, the witches were nowhere to be seen - at this one anyway. All they had was a small selection of generic Halloween, fall and Day of the Dead decor mixed up in one small section at the end of two massive aisles of candy. Not that I'm complaining, without candy its just dress up.

Locally, Spirit Halloween had the best selection of Hocus Pocus decor this year. I've been trying to order this mantle scarf from their online store for years but it was always sold out. Then last month suddenly lots of them appeared in their barely stocked store! Unfortunately, it looked a lot better in their photos than on our mantle. Currently its enhancing the piano and has become a minor inconvenience to Ivy's practicing but you can kind of tell they're flying witches now.

Another Spirit Halloween find was this journal that really looks like the book in the opening credits. It seems to be good quality too, time will tell.  No sign of "Book" replicas though.

I picked up this throw here, too. It's Burt's new favorite thing.

Finally, after it looked like we had all the Hocus Pocus decor we would ever want, I happened upon this ornament at the Disney store. I needed another item to get free shipping so that's my excuse.

So far the shots haven't made us too sick. I've felt worse after having just a Covid shot by itself. Who knows what tomorrow will be like though. If we feel too rotten we can always dedicate the day to a marathon of our fave spooky movies. We've already stocked up on popcorn!

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
