Warts and All

Doesn't it seem like October 13th should have more significance than just being a Thursday?

Last week, while The Skeleton Crew was off terrorizing one of our unsuspecting neighbors, His Madness and I took another road trip to the other side of the lake. This time we were there to check out Polly's Pumpkin Patch.

Much to our surprise, they weren't offering just your standard orange pumpkins but the motherlode of strange and unusual!

Although, they had plenty of the regular ones, too.

A very nice guy offered to give us a ride to the fields if we wanted to pick our own. Since they had already done such a great job of cleaning them we declined his offer and avoided having to do an extra load of laundry when we got home.

They were set up with quite a few activities designed to keep everyone entertained. A giant 40' slide (I forgot to photograph) was getting a lot of use as was this straw bale ziggurat.

The donkeys were really friendly and there were lots of cute animals to pet,

This is the entrance to the two corn mazes, which we reluctantly passed on because they covered fifteen acres and we would've been lost for hours.

So we loaded up a cart with a few choice oddities and decided we will definitely be back, who knows what interesting thing they might be harvesting next?

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
