It suddenly became very chilly here!
The drop to more seasonal temperatures has inspired His Madness to whip up a fancy meal.
He's started out by making a butternut squash pie. Considering how cold it is, maybe he was just looking for an excuse to turn on the oven.
At least he has fun while he's baking.
Adding cognac to a squash pie can only improve it, right?
Finally, he added the moon and stars, after a gazillion other steps.
Next he mixed up a loaf of herb and onion bread. There's a frost warning for our area tonight so that may be the end of the rosemary. We've got to use up everything we can before it snows!
After that he made a stew!
In a couple of hours, the bread was done and cool enough to slice for dinner.
A mad meal for a frosty evening. It was great!
Then it was topped off with pie and ice cream! I wonder what's for dinner tomorrow night?
