The Porch - Part One

Will this be our lucky day for finding the outside decorations?

Every year the front porch gets decorated the same way. We look at the inflatable ghosts and cats, scary animatronics even giant skeletons but nothing ever seems right. So we stick to pumpkins, mums, lights and garland. Maybe next year.

Actually, locating what we already have isn't always easy. The outside decorations get stored in the basement along with a lot of things we don't know what to do with and enough furniture to fill up another entire house. I wonder if any of my cousins would like this portrait of our great-great-great grandmother? Text me, okay? I have more and will ship them to you or deliver them in person.

The Halloween lights always get mixed up with the Christmas stuff.  This year we got lucky and found the lights right away. The garland however, is nowhere to be seen.

Then Burt and Ivy made a terrific discovery, all of the lights (that we found) are working!
That's got to be a first.

Ivy got right to work and had the place cleaned up in no time. By the way, this is not the broom she uses for transportation, she just prefers to scrub the porch with a broom rather than a mop.

Burt brought the pumpkins and mums.

Then they put up the lights and hung the wreath on the door.

So, this is as far as the Skeleton Crew got today. Hopefully, the garland and the rest of the lights will turn up soon, it's looking a little sparse right now. Maybe we need to do a little more shopping?

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
