It's getting very close!
Ivy's loves the look of vintage Halloween decorations and her favorite's are the Beistle Cutouts.
One night when Burt couldn't sleep, he noticed there were loads of Beistle cutouts available on Amazon. So he ordered a couple of sets for Ivy. She was very excited to see the new pieces Burt had picked out for her collection but the biggest surprise came when she opened the package. They were huge, at least four times the size of the ones she already had! What are they going to do with all these giant decorations?
As it turns out, four of them were done in a color of green that was almost a perfect match to the walls of the basement stairway.
Since it is destined for a new paint job soon, it doesn't matter what happens to it.
So the basement stairs got decorated for Halloween for the first (and probably last) time ever.
The painters tape seems to be holding up all the giant graphics really well. Burt was pretty proud of himself for noticing that the witch fit almost perfectly over the mirror,
Of course, Ivy immediately moved the witch because a girl needs a mirror to check herself out in before she leaves the house.
Kibitz dressed up one of the ledges with candles and more vintage looking stuff.
I brought in a spooky rug to cover up the landing that is in need of restoration.
Ivy replaced the white lace kitty curtain with something more appropriate.
Kibitz organized a place for the flying brooms, he does love enforcing the rules.
Now that's it's finished, the Skeleton Crew are very happy with the transformation.
I really hope they're done decorating now.
Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
