Some Extra Rhode Island Spooky Stuff . . . because I was totally unprepared for this vacation

There's only so much preparation a person can do and no matter what the situation, it's either never enough, just plain wrong or completely unnecessary. Sometimes it's all three at once. Good thing this blog is about being silly.

Grayson sympathizes.

Almost every year we visit Andy and Kristin and now their pup, Grayson in October. Usually this happens before the leaves start to turn in Massachusetts and while they are at their peak in Wisconsin. So essentially, we miss fall in both places. That's okay though, I did catch this little bit of autumnal radiance on route to Providence.

No trip to Providence would be complete without a visit to the bookstore dedicated to their hometown author of science fiction.

Weird creepiness, it's not just for Halloween here.

Who could not follow this mandate? (No thanks, I brought my own.)

Near the bookstore we found a gastropub and the beer I ordered looked just like candy corn. So glad it didn't taste like it, ha!

During the Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular this giant skeleton was lurking over the portable toilettes. He didn't seem to be making anyone nervous. HM was reminded of the lawyer's demise in Jurassic Park, I wondered where they bought it and would it fit in our front yard.

We had a great time on our day trip to Providence and hopefully we will be back soon.

Maybe after we all have a little rest.

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow
