The Skeleton Crew went out shopping for mums and pumpkins back in late September. The mums are looking great because they were just tight buds. It took them until last week to bloom. The pumpkins they bought early didn't work out so well.
Not surprisingly, the garden center that sells the best pumpkins for carving into jack-'o-lanterns was as picked over as everywhere else.
There were tons of gourds left, however.
Not to mention a lot of miniatures.
Still, Ivy managed to find three pumpkins that will make great jack-o'-lanterns.
All she needed was a little help getting them out of the trunk.
Even though we have a garden full of these tiny ones, Ivy felt we could use a few more.
You can never have too many pumpkins in autumn.
While she was there, she picked up some pansies and a beautiful lavender plant.
We can all use some extra love and luck!
Burt always enjoys having something he can use as a crown.
That was quite a haul. It looks like Ivy has some planting, crafting and carving ahead.
Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow!
